Walking date: 21st July

I'm traveling from Land's End to John O' Groats by means of Google Street View and Fitbit. In other words I have actually walked every mile I log, just in a more mundane location. This blog records the route I might have taken, if I had the luxury of taking a few months off work!

Today's route

Following the Dovey

Continuing today along the Dovey towards Machynlleth.

Along the Dovey

Passing through the town of Machynlleth, which claims to be the "Ancient capital of Wales".

Machynlleth Clock Tower

The clock tower is currently under refurbishment, but used to look like this:

Across the Dovey

After following it for a good few miles, I can finally cross over the picturesque river Dovey.

Through the trees by the river

The latter part of today's route winds it's way along the Afon Dulas valley towards Pantperthog.

The walk today leaves me just short of Pantperthog, home of the Centre for Alternative Technology which provides education on renewable energy, sustainable architecture, organic farming, gardening, and ecologically friendly living.
