I'm traveling from Land's End to John O' Groats by means of Google Street View and Fitbit. In other words I have actually walked every mile I log, just in a more mundane location. This blog records the route I might have taken, if I had the luxury of taking a few months off work!

Today's route

Llyn Ogwen

Today's route follows the A5 as it dog-legs around Llyn Ogwen, starting off with a nice, tranquil trek following this river valley.

At this point the gap that has been cut through this offshoot of the mountain is pretty obvious.

Like Scotland

This approach to the lake is very much like a preview of the walking in Scotland, with the steep sided hills every side. Unlike Scotland, this glacial lake is more like a plateau, being only 3 metres deep at its deepest.

The end of today's route leaves me amongst farmland, following next to the Afon Llugwy
